Our group met at Utsave Restaurant on October 18 at 6:00 PM for dinner and an evening of great conversation. After enjoying dinner and snacks, we reflected on the highlights and challenges of our hikes from this past summer.
Overall, everyone expressed their satisfaction with the season’s adventures and the memorable experiences we shared throughout the year.
To improve clarity and transparency within the group, we agreed to post our rules and guidelines on the website. This will help address common questions and ensure everyone is aligned as we plan future events.
We’re excited to introduce several new initiatives that will make next year even more adventurous and community-focused:
We’ll set a goal to complete a challenging “epic” hike in August, such as Sarrail Ridge or Tent Ridge.
Spring hikes will be selected to help members gradually build endurance, elevation comfort, and light scrambling skills leading up to this goal.
We’re planning an overnight camp-out followed by a sunrise hike, combining adventure with time to relax, connect, and enjoy nature together.
We’ll organize a family-friendly BBQ event to bring members together outside the trails and celebrate the hiking season in a more casual setting.
We’ll post our updated ride-sharing, gas, and park pass allowance rules on the website to ensure fairness and consistency for all participants.
As we wrap up another successful season, our group is eager to carry this momentum into the new year — with new goals, fresh challenges, and even stronger connections within our hiking community.
Thank you to everyone who participated this season! Your enthusiasm, teamwork, and love for the outdoors make every hike unforgettable.
Here’s to another great year of exploration, friendship, and mountain memories! 🏞️🥾
